Book Making Update:
Hack/Slash, Inc. has submitted their edits to Image and the printer after reviewing the digital proof that was sent over earlier this month. We are currently waiting on the edits (if any) from Image and hopefully, a final proof from the printer that we are able to approve for press. When all is approved, we will be able to distribute the digital version of the Hack/Slash Vol. 5 Omnibus to Kickstarter backers and a clear timeline of when we will be able to deliver rewards to everyone.

Anyone who backed the Hack/Slash Vol. 5 Omnibus Hardcover Kickstarter when the campaign was live will get a download link for a PDF version of issue 1 in the email inbox today! The email will be sent from BackerKit.

Omnibus Making Update
Files or Vol. 5 have been sent to the printer and we did receive a digital proof of the book over the weekend. Hack/Slash, Inc. is going over the interior and cover proof with a fine-tooth comb to ensure this deluxe hardcover reprinting is perfect! Once we give our final approval and we have confirmation from the printer that the book has gone to press, we will have a concrete date of when shipping will begin!

Unlike a typical graphic novel, an Artist's Edition is a collection of an artist's original penciled and inked art pages from a comic book story, presented in a way that mimics the experience of viewing the artist's original comic art. Jason never sold any of the original art pages from his Body Bags stories, so every page from every published comic, as well as his covers, will be included in the Artist's Edition.

The BackerKit Smoke Test ran over the weekend and there have been no support tickets or messages from the backers that were randomly selected to participate. With that said, we are on track to open BackerKit surveys to all backers and open the Hack/Slash Vol. 5 Pre-Order Shop!

BackerKit Smoke Test starts today!

Happy Friday!
We’re happy to announce that BackerKit has approved the Smoke Test for surveys. BackerKit will randomly select 5% of backers and send them an invitation to complete their survey for Hack/Slash Vol. 5 before surveys are open for all backers. Hopefully, Hack/Slash, Inc. and BackerKit made all the adjustments necessary to make the survey process quick and easy. If something like a survey question may be missing or a reward item isn’t showing up in your final pack list, backers in the Smoke Test will send us a DM to correct these hiccups. Thank you in advance to the backers that were chosen for the Smoke Test!
We plan to run the Smoke Test until Monday, October 7th 3pm CST. If the edits are minimal and easy fixes, we will open surveys to all backers and open the BackerKit Pre-Order Shop later in the evening.

Hello Slashers!
It’s finally spooky season and Hack/Slash, Inc. is loving the cool, crisp fall air with a hint of blood. We aren’t going to take too much of your time, but we wanted to give you an update of where we are post-campaign.
Here is our updated vision map since our last update:

10/1 - BackerKit surveys submitted for review ✅
Currently, the team at BackerKit is inspecting surveys, shipping tables, and the Pre-Order shop to make sure everything is good on both the front and back end! The review usually takes 2 business days.

10/4 - BackerKit Smoke Test
The official review by BackerKit and necessary adjustments should be complete. At this point, surveys will be approved and ready for the Smoke Test. The BackerKit Smoke Test randomly selects 5% of backers to complete their surveys. If backers during the test run into any hiccups with their survey, they will report to us and we will fix it accordingly. The Smoke Test will run over the weekend. Thank you in advance if you are a backer chosen to complete your survey at this time.

10/7 - BackerKit Surveys open to all backers
If there are just a few easy fixes that need to be made during the Smoke Test, we will be able to open BackerKit surveys to all backers and open the BackerKit Pre-Order Page to anyone who missed the campaign. Note: the Hack/Slash Vol. 5 Deluxe Omnibus Kickstarter Hardcover will not be available on the Pre-Order Page.
